ABSOLUTIONS COUNSELING CENTER
ACC Men's Recovery House
We are honored to have you visit our agency's site and would consider it a privilege to have the opportunity to meet with you.
Our experienced counselors are not perfect, nor do we pretend to have all the answers. We are broken vessels, just as all God's children are, who found healing with God's Grace by the Holy Spirit's Power through the Lord Jesus according to His Word.
Anyone desiring freedom from a life-controlling problem is welcome regardless of their spiritual/religious orientation or lack of. Our agency's therapists are Master Level (and above) educated Licensed Professional Counselors who offer non-judgmental therapy specifically designed to meet the individual's needs without imposing their personal beliefs.
There is no instantaneous lasting healing of deeply rooted character defects, unrepented sin, unforgiveness, life-defeating habits, etc.
However, the good news is that our loving Father has provided Godly tools empowered by His Spirit that can conquer your life challenge.
Absolutions Defines Christian Counseling As 'Utilizing Biblical Absolutes' In Overcoming any of Lifes Challenges That Attempt To Destroy God's Children By Offering 'false/temporary/worldly' Fulfilling For Our 'God-Shaped' Emptiness That Only God Can Satisfy Through His Son Our Savior Jesus.
Our Counselors Have Been There And Know The Feeling Of Emptiness Associated With Using Other Methods For Freedom. This Is The Reason Absolutions Exists, To Display God's Love & Healing Available For Everyone, But Each Individual Must Do The Work And Discover/Experience Jesus' Healing In Their Lives Personally Growing On A Daily Basis Toward Freedom.
Our Licensed Professional Counselors offer counseling for:
My name is Diane Castro.
I have a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and have worked
at Absolutions Counseling under the supervision of Dr. Robert Hunt for two
years. I have been married for seventeen
years, and have a 14 year-old son and an 11 year-old daughter.
I work with couples to address problems in their
relationships, including conflict, communication, and forgiveness. When assessing client issues, I look to see
the effects that the issue is having on physical, social, mental, and spiritual
areas of the client’s life. I know that
unhealthy relationships can cause physical and emotional harm. My goal is to introduce changes in the
relationship that will positively influence all areas of my clients’ life. My hope is to be a part of keeping families
together, and helping them to enjoy each other.
I am certified in the Prepare/Enrich marriage assessment, as well as the
SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) engagement assessment. I use the Hope Focused approach for couples
counseling, developed by Dr. Everett Worthington.
I also work with women and adolescent girls regarding a
variety of issues, such as depression, anxiety, family relationships, anger, and
eating disorders. I am certified in the
Suicide “PAIR” prevention program developed by the American Association of
Christian Counselors. I aim for
short-term, solution focused therapy for all clients. I understand that my clients are busy, and do
not usually need or want to be in therapy long-term. I want to work with my clients to discover
what tools they can use to handle the circumstances they are in now as well as
the issues they will face in the future.
In our counseling offices, clients will find a safe, non-judgmental
environment, with time to identify and explore the issues that are weighing
them down. I respect the self-knowledge
of my clients, and believe that given a space and time away from distractions,
we can discover the truths that will bring freedom.
As a Christian therapist, I believe that the presence of the
Holy Spirit brings healing to our minds.
I have seen people go from places of deep pain to peace and restoration
through Christian therapy. My counseling
methods are rooted in Biblical truth, and I welcome opportunities to include
Christianity in therapy sessions, but only
if my clients desire to do so.
Our Creator wired us for community, that's one reason Group Work....WORKS!
"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! .... Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."
